On the 18th of December 1979, Phil "The Gift" Heath, the American bodybuilding legend, was born. From 2011 until 2017, he triumphed in Mr. Olympia, making him a seven-time winner. With his most recent victory, he now shares second place with Arnold Schwarzenegger in terms of all-time Mr. Olympia triumphs, only behind Ronnie Coleman and Lee Haney, who are tied for first place with eight victories each. He is credited as having one of the greatest and most well-balanced bodybuilding physiques in history.Phil began bodybuilding in 2002. After winning the overall title at the NPC tournament in the United States in 2005, he was certified as an IFBB professional. The year after, he earned his first two wins in IFBB professional events, the Colorado Pro Championships and the New York Pro Championship. In 2007, Heath was awarded sixth place in the Arnold Classic competition. Heath had the option to compete in the 2007 Mr. Olympia competition, but he opted not to do so because he wanted more time to work on his form.
Phil finished second behind Dexter Jackson at the 2008 Arnold Classic after winning the Iron Man competition in 2008. Phil made his first Mr. Olympia appearance in 2008 and earned third place, becoming the first beginner to do so since Flex Wheeler in 1993. He earned sixth place in 2009's Mr. Olympia. and took second place in 2010's Mr. Olympia. In 2011, he received the title. Since then, Phil has successfully defended his Mr. Olympia crown for six years without losing until he placed second in 2018 to Shawn Rhoden.
